ABOUT AFM-NANO

WELCOME

DR. DAVID DÍAZ DÍAZ RESEARCH GROUP This is the site of the Advanced Functional Materials and Nanoscience (AFM-NANO) research group leaded by Dr. David Díaz Díaz. The general research interests of AFM-NANO research group are centered in the development of functional materials with applications in areas such as biomedicine, catalysis, molecular sensing, coatings and adhesives, environmental remediation and energy. We believe that the discovery of new versatile and functional materials with solid prospect for practical applications will be intimately associated to inexpensive, simple and scalable processes. Thus, we aim to select the most practical chemical approaches for the synthesis of new materials and fine-tuning specific properties.
OUR SCIENCE KISSu Principle: “KEEP IT SIMPLE AND SUSTAINABLE” - to understand complexity - Our research lines create a bridge between materials science and a wide variety of discplines in which advanced functional materials find interesting applications n inexpensive, simple and scalable processes to solve real life challenging problems. - Simple systems develop complexity by acquiring energy from the environment -
“The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but to reveal to him his own - Benjamin Disraeli
